As the epidemiological traffic light changes, Mexican companies begin to adapt their workplaces with new furniture, sanitary measures and more technology to ensure continuity and protect employees, adapting to a new normality.
The government proposed a set of rules for safe arrival on site. When resuming activities on a staggered basis, many companies have opted to keep a register of employees upon arrival at the facilities, following a protocol:
- Taking the temperature
- Sanitisation of shoes
- Sanitisation of garments (in some cases)
- Verbally asking if they had any symptoms
- Proper hand washing or use of gel
- Use of face masks
- Use of face shield or goggles
Based on this, a logbook was drawn up, thus keeping track of the employees who attended the facilities, in order to keep an eye on the staff and, in the event of detecting a person with symptoms, to act immediately and locate the people who may have lived with or been in contact with that person and generate an action plan to prevent the spread of the contagion and keep them under observation. As a result, many employees felt safer when they returned to their activities on the premises.
Each company looks for the best method or the one that best suits its work system, but always keeping in mind the safety of the staff in this new normality.
These measures to be implemented serve as a support to take care of and act in any situation, thus better protecting the personnel.
At GDI we have a health staff that takes care of us at all times. On arrival at the facilities, they follow a protocol to register each of the collaborators, a full body sanitisation, temperature taking and notes of symptoms or any discomfort in general. We keep a daily log.
With the help of this, action plans can be put in place in the event of contagion and prevent its spread. We take care of our team and our families.
